Rock Chalk Forever Committee
The Rock Chalk Forever Committee plays a vital role in shaping the success of our signature celebration. As ambassadors across the KU and Kansas City communities, our committee members help expand the event’s reach, connect us with new supporters, and champion the impact of the KU Alumni. They’re opening doors to new partnerships, helping us raise essential dollars and filling tables with Jayhawks ready to give back. This dedicated group ensures Rock Chalk Forever continues to grow stronger each year. Meet the leaders who make it all possible!
Ryan and Libby Pfeiffer
Rock Chalk Forever 2026 Chairs:
Few Jayhawks have poured more heart, energy, and pride into KU’s presence in Kansas City than Ryan and Libby Pfeiffer. True champions of the KU Alumni, there simply aren’t bigger cheerleaders for KU and its alumni community. Ryan, a 2002 graduate of the William Allen White School of Journalism, brings decades of leadership and vision to KU’s outreach—currently serving on the KU Alumni National Board of Directors and previously leading as president of the KC Network Board. Together, Ryan and Libby have helped shape the history and growth of Rock Chalk Forever from the beginning, offering unwavering support as ambassadors, advocates, and hands-on partners in its success. As Life Members and Presidents Club donors, they generously give both their time and their resources to ensure KU thrives in Kansas City and beyond. Their commitment, passion, and Jayhawk spirit make them invaluable members of the Rock Chalk Forever family.
Why do you support KU Alumni and why Rock Chalk Forever is important to you?
“KU Alumni holds a special place with our family. KU Alumni has always provided us a chance to give back to KU and connect with alumni around the country, but it also has provided us a chance to connect with future Jayhawks too. KU Alumni allows all Jayhawks to reconnect with the university we love and appreciate so much after we graduate through a variety of ways. No matter the path we chose as undergrads it all leads us to being proud graduates of the University of Kansas with KU Alumni being our catalyst to that connection after graduation.
Rock Chalk Forever holds a special place in our hearts because it was the catalyst to me getting involved with KU Alumni. At the 2004 event, I was talking with an alum who said I should think about getting involved with the local Kansas City chapter. Now 20+ years later, I’ve had the honor to not only serve on the Kansas City board, but I’ve been able to serve on the national board too. Rock Chalk Forever provides a unique opportunity for Jayhawks of all ages/majors/backgrounds to come together in KC to give back to the University we care so much about.”
What is your favorite KU memory?
“While there are so many memories to choose from especially when it comes to athletics at KU. I still think I must go back to graduation. You wait your whole college career to walk through the Campanile and down that hill with all those people cheering for you, and when you finally get to experience it, it’s truly amazing. That will be a moment I will never forget and to this day still cherish.”
